Ergonomics/General Lifting Techniques

Ergonomic lifting and safe lifting techniques that fall under OSHA standard.

Target Audience: Employees who encounter repetitive movement and lifting during their assigned duties. 

This course is designed to help employees identify work-related ergonomic problems and learn to apply the principles of ergonomics in order to make their jobs less physically demanding, thereby increasing their overall efficiency and reducing injuries.

This 1-hour course is comprised of the following:

  • Health risks related to improper lifting

  • General principles of ergonomics

  • Good work practices, including safe lifting techniques and the use of equipment

  • How to recognize tasks that may lead to pain or injury

  • Symptoms of musculoskeletal disorder and the importance of addressing them early

  • Procedures for reporting work-related injuries
